Perkins finished 3rd in Race 2 and overall
Jack Perkins has replicated his 3rd position in race 1 in the second and final race of the weekend.
Perkins got a good jump but was delayed by a slightly slow get away from Wood in front, allowing Taz Douglas to move up to third going into Turn 1. It wasn’t for long though, as Perkins made a dive down the inside at the chase and took the position back.
From here Perkins chased down Wood, but was not able to get close enough to the current series leader to make a move and crossed the line in third position for the race and for the round.
The third place was also the third consecutive podium result for the Eggleston Motorsport team and moved Perkins up to 4th in the championship hunt despite missing the opening round.
Perkins sits 48 points behind Andrew Jones, with 300 points still on offer at the season finale at the Sydney 500 on December 6-8.
